Faith Formation within the Avon Catholic Community exists to accompany adults in lifelong learning and ongoing conversion, forming well-grounded, missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. Rooted in the liturgical life of the Church, Faith Formation designs intentional opportunities that deepen understanding of Scripture, Tradition, and Catholic teaching while helping faith come alive in everyday life.
Through Bible studies, book studies, missions, guest speakers, special events, pilgrimages, bus trips, and parish-wide experiences, adults are invited to continually grow, ask questions, and be renewed in their relationship with Christ. These opportunities recognize that faith formation does not end at any age, but is a lifelong journey of discipleship and renewal.
The Faith Formation team works closely with the Director of Evangelization, collaborating across ministries to cross-promote, support, and strengthen parish life. Together, we seek not only to inform minds but to form hearts, equipping adults to live, witness, and serve as missionary disciples within the Church, the home, and the wider community.
